Location:Toronto, ON - Onsite

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships

  • Assist with onsite building surveys as required for qualified service solution opportunities to further qualify or gather data required for the sales process and assistance to Account Managers and Application Engineers

  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems

  • Provide remote initial diagnostics for technicians and Customer's with monitoring support with a first look diagnostic, intended to determine a potential mechanical or controls opportunity

  • Provide controls technical support to other controls or mechanical technicians as required

  • Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers

  • Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming

  • Provide programming, graphics and web user interface setup, commissioning and installation assistance as needed with control service and installations

  • Assist in verification that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications

  • Provide training and follow-ups for customers and operations personnel

  • Complete work orders and review with customers for accuracy

  • Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively

  • Maintain strong collaboration with other business and functional leaders within Daikin including direct managers, sales and application engineers, energy engineers and project managers

  • Actively participate in performance evaluations of Controls Technicians, providing feedback on technical skills, attitude, thoroughness, teamwork and developmental suggestions for technicians

  • Participate in on call rotation

Your Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Associate's Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)

  • 5+ years of related HVAC controls experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Niagara N4 and/or Niagara AX Certification (preferred)

  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record

  • Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district

  • Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required

  • Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians

  • Experience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL (preferred)

  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)

  • OSHA 10 certification (preferred)

  • Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $44.20 - $69.10 in ON. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
