Job DescriptionAbout the Role
  • We are looking for Field Service Engineer to strengthen our team and who would be responsible for providing technical support to our customers in whole Poland. As a Field Service Engineer You will be actively involved in engaging our customers with keeping an excellent service level and a proactive approach preventing and resolving technical problems. Working as the part of our Polish and CE Biosciences Service Team.
  • Preferred location: South Poland, Silesian Voivodeship.
Main responsibilities will include:
  • Be responsible for optimizing customer satisfaction, solving problems and ensuring long-term stability.
  • Install/uninstall and service BD Biosciences instruments and provide remote and on-site support to BD customers in line with SLAs. Perform instrument failure analysis, screening and follow-up to continuously improve reliability.
  • Prioritization, planning and execution of your activities according to the processes and the defined customer service level agreements Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and corrective technical support.
  • Relocate and certify (IQ and OQ) instruments as per customer needs.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory (car stock) at an appropriate level and personal tools for the successful execution of your tasks
  • Comply with all quality and safety regulations as required by BD and the customer service levels agreements.
  • Documentation and maintenance of all relevant data in the BD Service Management systems to ensure optimal data accuracy and high-quality customer reporting.
  • Promote service contract, in cooperation with your sales colleagues, you will inform our customers about our range of technical services - such as maintenance contracts.
  • Be involved in establishing and expanding long-term and good customer contacts.
About you:
  • Bachelor's degree education/study in a technical field (preferably specialized in Biomedical or Electronic or Mechanical).
  • Experience as a field service engineer in high-tech medical devices or related fields of high technology will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent Polish, preferred as native language. Very good communication skills in English.
  • Nice to have good knowledge of computers, networking, electronics, precision mechanics and ideally some initial knowledge of flow cytometry.
  • Very good self-organization, strong time management and prioritization of work. Efficient, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style.
  • Flexibility and adaptability for changing work environment.
  • High social competence combined with a pronounced willingness to help
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and a high level of commitment and personal responsibility
  • High willingness to travel through Poland and occasionally in Central Europe region.
  • A valid European class B driving license.
