Banyan Search is partnering exclusively with a well-established, privately held real estate organization to place a senior accounting leader. A high-impact opportunity for a finance professional ready to own the full accounting function across a diverse multi-asset portfolio, where your insights will influence strategy, your leadership will shape a team, and your rigor will drive performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee accounting operations across a multi-asset portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to implement processes and controls that strengthen business performance
• Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making and enhance competitive positioning
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Support asset-level strategy through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee core accounting operations, including AP, AR, treasury, collections, and monthly close processes
• Develop financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders; communicate key insights to senior leadership
• Lead or support system implementations and process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy
• Manage special projects and cross-functional initiatives aligned with organizational objectives
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred
• CPA designation or active candidacy strongly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
• Background in real estate, hospitality, or multi-asset environments strongly preferred
