Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

Security is dedicated to professionally upholding Lopez Dorada's policies and procedures, focusing on safety and ensuring customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintaining the whereabouts of all inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Directing all inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Required to maintain excellent communication with all staff and drivers.ย 
  • Will keep logs of yard checks, damage reports, and process logs, which will also require building and sending reports throughout the shift.ย Experience with Microsoft Office products- Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.ย 
  • Must be able to utilize basic computer search and navigation.
  • Must be safely cautious at all times, not only of yourself but of others in your surrounding areas and vehicles you will be in contactย with.ย 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Must be able to read and decipher schedules and spreadsheets.
  • Must read the Bill of Lading and decipher the shipping manifest.
  • Must have good verbal and communication skills, computer experience with Excel and Word, and customer service experience

  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
  • Must be willing to work in an industry that operates 24/7
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment.ย 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Security experience preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
