Job Title: Controller

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview: As our business expands, we are seeking a driven Controller to oversee and ensure the precision of our financial statements. The Controller will be instrumental in implementing robust compliance measures and managing essential controls to support our financial objectives. This role is pivotal in handling cash, factory receivables, reserves, Finance Product remittances, and overseeing product cancellations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Manage daily accounting, bank reconciliations, cash, A/R, A/P, and vehicle inventory.
    • Lead the month-end close and preparation of OEM financial statements and management reports.
    • Oversee floor plan, finance reserves, factory receivables, WIP, and finance product remittances.
    • Ensure accurate posting of vehicle, service, parts, and body shop transactions.
    • Coordinate physical inventories and reconcile inventory to the general ledger.
    • Partner with the CFO and dealership management on budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
    • Maintain strong accounting controls and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
    Qualifications
    • 2+ years of Automotive Controller experience or 4+ years of dealership office management experience.
    • Experience supporting a multi-rooftop dealership group strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of OEM financial statements, dealership accounting, and month-end close.
    • Experience with CDK DMS or other automotive accounting systems is a plus.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
