Newly hired employees start with a GREAT PAY - Lining & Coating Utility pay rate is $23.73 per hour. This is a hourly position with outstanding benefits offerings, vacation, and holiday pay. Be part of the team! We offer great medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums, life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability coverage, a Company-matched 401(K) plan, and ten (10) paid holidays. Employees are eligible for five (40) hours vacation after six (6) months of continuous employment.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • Mark or tag identification on parts.
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Help production workers perform duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools or cleaning work areas and equipment.
  • Use appropriate tools to finish castings based on quality specifications.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment.
  • Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred).
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related on-the-job experience required.
  • Previous work experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Knowledge required to perform this job includes production and processing; and mechanical.
  • Skills required to perform this job include operation monitoring; reading comprehension; active listening; complex problem solving; critical thinking; and operation and control.

  • The physical requirements of this job include moderately heavy lifting/carrying equal to 40 - 50 pounds; frequent carrying or lifting greater than 40 times per hour; bending below the waist; bending at waist occasionally; pushing/pulling maximum weight of 25 pounds un-wheeled; twisting torso as waist; use of fingers; use of both hands; ability to grasp medium with right/left hands; ability to flex/extend right/left hands; ability to do repetitive work with hands; ability to exert medium arm/hand force with right/left hands; ability to wear gloves on right/left hands; ability to use tools with right/left hands; ability to use vibrating tools with right/left hands; standing and walking; moving neck forward/back and turning left/right; ability to work in high temperatures; ability to work in high humidity; ability to work inside/outside, ability to work on slippery, uneven, or unstable surfaces; ability to work around moving machinery; ability to work around dust and fumes; and ability to wear a respirator.
