System One stands as one of the largest outsourced services and workforce solutions firms in the U.S. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our client in York, PA. Position Summary: Design and develop electrical schematics, industrial control panels, and other associated control hardware for plastic extrusion equipment and applications. Role Responsibilities and Priorities:
  • Develop electrical schematics and detailed panel layouts for extrusion control systems that comply with electrical standards (UL508A, NEC, NFPA-79).
  • Design, develop and modify schematics, detail drawings, assemblies, sub-assemblies, BOM’s and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical on new and legacy equipment.
  • Participate in project kick off meetings, review equipment specifications, and develop an engineering design plan for each assigned project.
  • Work collaboratively with all engineering disciplines (software, electrical and mechanical) to ensure successful completion of projects that meet specifications.
  • Work closely with the assembly team to identify and resolve any panel or electrical assembly issues.
  • Provide input for overall control system development initiatives based on feedback from engineering, operations, and field service.
  • Provide technical support to all departments during procurement, assembly, testing and final acceptance of equipment.
  • Assist the technical documentation coordinator with the preparation of as-built drawings and associated BOM’s.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering preferred. Combination of work experience and applicable training and coursework may also be satisfactory.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical and controls experience, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Solid foundation and experience with design principles to develop control hardware for electromechanical systems.
