Job description

Control Panels USA is a skilled, detail-oriented, and versatile Journeyman Electrician to support the fabrication, wiring, assembly, and testing of custom industrial control panels and electrical systems. This role also serves as a key electrical resource for both internal facility needs and external client projects. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, capable of multitasking across various projects, and willing to support multiple teams when not performing direct electrical work.

Our regular work schedule is M-F 8AM-4:30PM with some overtime opportunities as needed.
Duties to include but not limited to:
  • Read, interpret, and execute electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and engineering drawings.
  • Performing electrical work
  • Install Conduit and Wiring systems.
  • Work closely with the Master Electrician to support electrical operations and implementation.
  • Provide hands-on electrical expertise within the facility as the primary Journeyman resource.
  • Install, wire, and assemble industrial control panels, relay racks, and electrical components to precise specifications.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring, terminations, and component installation including PLCs, relays, drives, and instrumentation.
  • Serve as a flexible team member, supportingfield work and layout team activities.
  • Identify and resolve wiring or assembly issues quickly and accurately.
  • Install and route conduit and precision tubing (small-scale, detailed conduit work) with a high level of craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to optimize build processes.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
  • Demonstrate a high level of precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
  • Work efficiently under deadlines to support competitive lead times.
  • Perform additional tasks, assignments, duties, or projects as requested by management.
      • Any other task, assignments, duty, or projects, as requested by management.

Requirements:
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license (Texas or equivalent reciprocity)
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience,
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of NEC codes and industrial electrical standards
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Experience performing facility electrical work.
  • Familiarity with wastewater and water treatment controls a plus
  • Familiarity with hazardous location requirements (Class I, Division 1 & 2)
  • Experience with conduit bending and precision tubing installation (highly desirable)
