Job Description Our client is a leading provider of custom electrical power systems, specializing in switchboards, motor control centers, and automation solutions for industries such as energy, solar, and manufacturing. They are known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and delivering reliable, high-performance products. They're seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician to add to their team in Houston, TX.

Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions. Quality Control Technician Benefits: Competitive pay Set Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity for career advancement & growth Quality Control Technician Responsibilities: Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electrical products Conduct testing using tools such as multimeters, hi-pot testers, calipers, micrometers, Megger insulation resistance testers, and other electrical test equipment Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation of switchboards, motor control centers (MCCs), control panels, and power distribution equipment Support acceptance testing, startup, commissioning, and verification of electrical equipment prior to shipment or customer handoff Assist with circuit breaker testing, contact resistance testing (DLRO/Micro-Ohm), insulation resistance testing, and protective relay verification as required Verify compliance with customer specifications and industry standards Document inspection and test results, including nonconformities, within the ERP system Report quality issues and collaborate with production teams on corrective actions Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper documentation sign-off Support Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) initiatives Assist with training new technicians on quality control and electrical testing processes Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, testing capabilities, and operational efficiency Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety protocols Quality Control Technician Requirements: High school diploma or GED required 1+ year of experience in quality control, inspection, or testing (electrical manufacturing preferred) Basic understanding of electrical systems, switchboards, and control panels Familiarity with industry standards (UL, ANSI/NEMA, IEC preferred) Experience using inspection and testing tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.) Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to identify defects and troubleshoot quality issues Effective communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as needed Quality Control Technician Preferred: Associate's degree or certification in electrical technology or quality control Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification OSHA 10 certification.
