Requirements
What You'll Do
As the OEM Assistant Supervisor, you'll work alongside the OEM Shop Floor Manager to keep production running efficiently while supporting and developing your team.
Your responsibilities include:
Lead Daily Production
  • Supervise daily production activities on the OEM manufacturing floor
  • Coordinate production batches for maximum efficiency
  • Ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved
  • Remove obstacles that impact workflow
Coach & Develop Employees
  • Lead, motivate, and support production technicians
  • Assign work based on priorities and employee strengths
  • Train new employees and continue developing existing team members
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance guidance
  • Partner with Human Resources on attendance and performance matters
Drive Quality
  • Monitor workmanship throughout production
  • Conduct inspections and verify products meet customer specifications
  • Identify quality concerns before they become problems
  • Promote continuous improvement throughout the department
Improve Operations
  • Solve production issues quickly and effectively
  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency
  • Monitor productivity and resource utilization
  • Assist with production reporting and performance metrics
Promote a Safe Workplace
  • Ensure employees follow all safety procedures
  • Lead by example in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Encourage a culture where safety comes first
Support Production Resources
  • Monitor consumable inventory and production supplies
  • Help ensure materials and tools are available when needed

We're Looking For Someone Who Has
Required
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control panel assembly
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple production demands
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Six Sigma experience
  • ERP or production scheduling software experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
