Job description

Job Summary
Seeking Industrial Electricians for our maintenance department having experience with 480 Volt 3 phase systems, troubleshooting, controls, one-line schematics, conduit bending and installation, some work with PLC’s, VFD’s, Soft Starters, control panel assembly and compliance with NEC and 70E will be helpful.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Troubleshooting ability in continuous processing setting
· Recognize electrical hazards and understanding how to read arc-flash label
· Maintain electrical systems equipment to meet regulatory codes at federal, state, and at local level
· Conduit bending and installation, including but not limited to EMT, IMC, Rigid
· Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers
· Self-starter, yet able to take orders as directed
· Any other duty assigned by management.
Education and Experience
· Must have valid Journeyman Electrician’s license.
· Minimum 5 years of experience.
Skills and Abilities
· Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
· Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities required
· Critical thinking, sound judgment needed
· Able to read electrical schematics
· Good understanding of 480 Volt 3 phase systems, AC/DC control wiring, AC motors
· Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, lifts and roofs
· Must be available to work day or evening shifts, weekends, call-outs, and overtime
Working Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers; handle; and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be willing and able to wear approved PPE as specified by GMP standards. The employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places; extreme heat and cold. While employee is performing regular duties they are also exposed to possible risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
