Job description

As the Quality Control Manager (QMR), you'll lead the company's quality management and compliance efforts, ensuring products consistently meet customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You'll serve as the Quality Management Representative, driving continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing audits, developing quality systems, and leading a team dedicated to maintaining excellence throughout the manufacturing process.

A Day in the Life:

โ€ข Serve as the Quality Management Representative (QMR), ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented, maintained, and continuously improved

โ€ข Define, deploy, monitor, and manage QMS processes while partnering with departments across the organization to ensure compliance and effectiveness

โ€ข Lead internal audits and prepare for customer, regulatory, and certification audits

โ€ข Ensure compliance with AS9100D, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality and regulatory standards

โ€ข Develop, maintain, and control quality manuals, procedures, records, and supporting documentation

โ€ข Analyze quality metrics, audit findings, production data, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities

โ€ข Present quality performance reports, audit results, and corrective action recommendations to senior leadership

โ€ข Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives and root cause investigations

โ€ข Oversee inspection activities for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products

โ€ข Monitor the effectiveness of quality control systems and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality

โ€ข Generate and review reports related to nonconformances, production quality, root cause analyses, and quality trends

โ€ข Manage, coach, schedule, and develop quality department personnel

โ€ข Train employees on quality standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance best practices

โ€ข Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and other departments to resolve quality concerns and improve processes

โ€ข Stay current on industry standards, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and quality management best practices

โ€ข Ensure adherence to OSHA safety requirements and company safety procedures

โ€ข Support production teams during peak periods to help achieve customer delivery commitments

โ€ข Perform other related duties as assigned

โ€ข Working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 13485, and quality auditing principles

โ€ข Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause investigation skills

โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills

โ€ข Strong organizational and time-management abilities

โ€ข Proficiency in quality reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies

โ€ข Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance

Physical Requirements:

โ€ข Ability to see and hear effectively, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

โ€ข Ability to frequently stand, walk, move throughout the facility, and perform inspections
