Position OverviewWe’re looking for a relationship-driven Account Manager to own and protect our Illinois client base. This role is purpose-built for someone who thrives on deepening existing relationships and helping customers protect their facilities and people. You’ll be the primary point of contact for WGC’s Illinois accounts, ensuring clients renew, expand, and remain happy advocates for our services.
The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, self-driven, and has a strong service mindset. This person needs to pay meticulous attention to contract timelines and have the consultative skill to identify and present upsell opportunities naturally. You’ll work closely with our Services team and the broader sales organization to deliver seamless client experiences year after year.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full renewal lifecycle for majority of Illinois accounts, from proactive outreach 90+ days out through signed contracts, to hit retention targets
  • Maintain an accurate renewal pipeline in CRM; negotiating terms and pricing in alignment with WGC’s guidelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Illinois customers; building trusted relationships with key facility managers, property managers, and operations leads through regular, proactive communication, periodic site visits, attendance at local conferences, and relationship driving activities. 
  • Send post-season account reviews to assess satisfaction and evolving needs; address service issues quickly in partnership with operations
  • Identify and present upsell opportunities within existing accounts (e.g., fecal remediation, netting, laser deterrents); partnering with Account Executives on larger expansion opportunities and track all activity in CRM
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, billing, and marketing teams; participate in weekly sales and account reviews and share client insights with leadership
 
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
  • 3–5 years of account management, customer success, or renewals experience in a B2B service environment
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding renewal and retention targets
  • Strong consultative communication skills, able to listen, identify needs, and present solutions clearly
  • Experience managing a multi-account portfolio with overlapping contract timelines
  • Comfortable using CRM systems to manage pipelines and activity (Zoho experience preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business technology tools
