We are looking for a Senior Protection & Control Team Lead

This role will be based in Vancouver, BC.

Your role

As a member of Transmission, Distribution and Renewables team, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, coach, guide and supervise a team of junior P&C engineers.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects.
  • Assist in development of technical processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals.
  • Prepare Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations.
  • Program Protection & Control devices.
  • Work on reports and calculations and perform site visits.

About you

  • Holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and has 15-20 years of previous protection & control design work experience in T&D and or Generation sector.
  • Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a University level or equivalent.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and PLC programming is an asset.
  • Is registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral English communication skills and good work ethic.
