Job description

Primary Function:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to support the execution of complex aerospace and defense programs across the Product Support organization.

This role serves as a key cross-functional coordinator responsible for maintaining program alignment across cost, schedule, technical performance, and operational objectives throughout the program lifecycle. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced DoD environments, communicates effectively with leadership and customers, and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience supporting defense programs, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), program operations, manufacturing readiness, or program execution activities within a government contracting environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution activities across cross-functional program teams
  • Maintain program battle rhythm, recurring meetings, and executive review cadence
  • Track program milestones, action items, risks, issues, and deliverables
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure alignment across technical, operational, and business functions
  • Develop and maintain program dashboards, metrics, and executive-level briefings
  • Assist with preparation for customer and leadership reviews including PMRs, PDRs, CDRs, EACs, and milestone reviews
  • Support Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) coordination and schedule status tracking
  • Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and government customers
  • Coordinate transition-to-production, manufacturing readiness, and operational planning activities
  • Support risk mitigation efforts and corrective action tracking
  • Maintain program documentation, reporting tools, SharePoint sites, and status trackers
  • Assist Program Managers with strategic initiatives, special projects, and execution priorities
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal processes, and program objectives
