Description
JOB PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the PDC Supervisors and PDC Manager, the Wave Planner and Lead Processor allocates orders to processors in the shipping department and performs a wide variety of activities related to the receipt, inspection, processing, storage, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories. This role is critical for managing the workflow of orders daily, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards, and leading a group of approximately 10 peers by example.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Order Allocation: Initiate order allocations in the LG955 screen, AMOS, and monitor processor picking activity, adjusting as necessary to ensure orders are picked, packed, and delivered to the carrier on time (25%).

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the assigned group processes dealer parts orders accurately and with reliable quality, guiding all processors to meet and exceed MPA standards (25%).

  • Monitoring and Communication: Monitor progress, communicate challenges to the Supervisor, and convey any issues regarding picking activity and system functionality to the Shipping Department Supervisor (15%).

  • Lean Practices and Continuous Improvement: Drive lean practices and continuous improvements as defined by leadership, setting an exemplary "best practice" work environment (10%).

  • Packing and Dock Operations: Assist in the packing process at the pack stations and with dock operations as needed (10%).

  • Safety and Quality Culture: Drive the MPA culture of safety and quality, ensuring all activities align with these values (10%).

  • Special Projects: Perform special project work as required at the direction of management (5%).

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Allocate order drops and assignments to processors daily.

  • Monitor pick rates and re-adjust work accordingly to achieve objectives.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of dealer parts orders.

  • Coordinate with department leads to ensure all parts are picked and packed to meet required carrier times.

  • Monitor and coach employees on 5S activities associated with end-of-day setup.

  • Accurately receive, inspect, process, store, and ship a variety of automotive parts and accessories, meeting company standards of safety, security, and efficiency.

  • Set the example of PDC productivity and quality objectives while displaying professional conduct at all times.

  • Maintain neat, clean, orderly, safe, and secure work and storage areas.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment daily checking fluid levels, proper tire pressure and cleanliness.

  • Performs Special Project Work as required at the direction of Management
