Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an LTAC ICU night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details
  • LTAC ICU unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
  • 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Floating to other qualified units and campuses required based on census needs
Requirements
  • Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the unit
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
  • LTAC experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
Additional Information
  • Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration
  • Skills include managing arterial and central lines, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and continuous IV sedation/vasopressor therapy
  • Experience with ARDS, CVA, GI bleeds, DKA, and dysrhythmia management is valued
  • Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance requirements
  • Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
  • Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to qualify for full travel eligibility, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
  • Night shift travelers for this specialty must be located 50 or more miles from the contracted campus, with reduced eligibility between 50-99.9 miles and ineligibility under 50 miles
  • First-time travelers may be considered
