Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
  • Experience in NICU II and NICU III strongly preferred
  • At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel RN experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Active South Carolina RN license required
  • Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
  • Strong clinical skills caring for neonates and infants, including high-acuity and complex cases
  • Must be comfortable with night shifts, weekend coverage, and floating within scope
Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care to neonates and infants with a wide range of complex conditions in the NICU
  • Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress, sepsis, congenital anomalies, withdrawal, hypoglycemia, and neurologic complications
  • Perform and support specialized NICU procedures such as chest tube management, full body cooling, and tracheostomy care
  • Safely manage advanced neonatal equipment and therapies, including ventilators, HFNC, bubble CPAP, and incubators
  • Administer medications, blood products, and neonatal treatments according to unit protocols
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, radiology, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Support family education, developmental care, and compassionate communication throughout the patient experience
