CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
Manage technical projects aimed at product and process problem solving and/or improvements, cost reduction, and profitability improvement. Provide technical assistance to the operating departments to help them achieve the mill's goals and objectives.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK:
  • Assists in troubleshooting problems and teaching others how to react
  • Assists in the planning and completion of production projects
  • Administratively track any trials, changes and continual production information
  • Assists in organizing and implementing any changes or trials
  • Makes daily checks of production output and contributing factors
  • Promotes daily safety communications while helping ensure a clean environment
  • Process customer complaints offering corrective actions
  • Maintains communications with customers while helping correct problems

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science Engineering

  • Experience in a process engineering role (2+ years experience, or combination of co-op / internship experience)
