Virtual Psychologist Psychological Evaluations (Part-Time / Remote)

Position Title: Virtual Psychologist Psychological Evaluations
Position Type: Part-Time / Contractual
Work Location: Remote / Virtual
Reports To: Clinical Director or Program Administrator
Pay: Per Evaluation

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed psychologist to conduct virtual psychological evaluations for adults and/or adolescents as needed on a very part-time basis. The psychologist will complete comprehensive psychological assessments utilizing standardized intellectual, behavioral, and adaptive functioning instruments in accordance with established evaluation guidelines and clinical standards.
This position is ideal for a clinician seeking flexible, remote work with a low-volume caseload focused on evaluations, report writing, and professional clinical recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual psychological evaluations using approved standardized assessment tools.
  • Administer intellectual and cognitive assessments, including:
    • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)
    • Wechsler Memory Scale
    • Slosson Intelligence Test-Revised
    • Bender Motor Gestalt Test
    • Beck Depression Inventory or other accepted clinical instruments
  • Conduct behavioral and adaptive functioning assessments utilizing:
    • Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (Interview Edition)
    • AAMD Adaptive Behavior Scale
    • Other clinically accepted adaptive behavior instruments
  • Complete structured clinical interviews lasting approximately 2040 minutes.
  • Assess and document:
    • Ability to relate and respond appropriately
    • Activity level and distractibility
    • Coordination, posture, and balance
    • Orientation to person, place, and time
    • Speech and language functioning
    • Thought processes and organization
    • Mood and affect
    • Self-concept and insight
    • Strengths and coping strategies
    • Social supports and relationships
    • Leisure interests and activities
  • Prepare comprehensive written psychological evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA, state licensing regulations, and organizational standards.
  • Participate in occasional case consultations or interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology in NC from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted psychologist license in applicable state(s).
  • Experience conducting psychological and intellectual evaluations.
  • Proficiency with standardized psychological testing instruments.
  • Strong clinical interviewing and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a remote evaluation process.
  • Comfortable utilizing telehealth and virtual assessment platforms.
  • Knowledge of adaptive behavior assessments and developmental/intellectual disability evaluations preferred.
Preferred Experience

  • Experience with disability evaluations, community mental health, or forensic assessments.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary evaluation processes.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Telehealth evaluation experience strongly preferred.
Schedule & Compensation

  • Flexible schedule based on referral volume.
  • Very part-time contract or PRN arrangement.
  • Compensation per completed evaluation/report or hourly rate based on experience.

  • Must maintain professional liability insurance.
  • Must comply with all telehealth and licensing regulations.
  • Reliable internet connection and secure workspace required.
