Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager, Inspectors, or Superintendents to support current and upcoming federal construction projects nationwide.

These roles serve as the owner's on-site representatives, ensuring projects meet all contractual, technical, and safety requirements while maintaining open communication with contractors, engineers, and agency partners.

What You'll Do:

Conduct daily field inspections to verify construction quality, progress, and compliance with drawings/specifications. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, monitor daily site activities, and ensure installations comply with contract documents. Attend and document coordination and quality meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Review and comment on contractor schedules, submittals, RFIs, testing reports, and change orders. Maintain organized inspection logs, test records, and detailed photo documentation. Identify and track non-conformance issues and verify corrective actions. Monitor field activities for compliance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 safety standards. Support cost and schedule evaluations and validate contractor pay applications. Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve field challenges efficiently. Provide accurate and timely documentation to support project reporting and performance metrics.

What You'll Need: Authorization to work in the United States (CSS does not provide sponsorship). 5+ years of construction experience and/or a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field with commensurate experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience supporting federal or public-sector construction projects preferred (experience with USACE, USCG, NASA, NPS, or GSA) Prior background as a Construction Superintendent, QA/QC Manager, or Inspector strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills-must be able to document, report, and interact professionally with clients and field teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore, RMS, or eCMS. Willingness to travel and perform on-site inspections (outdoor work, climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs).
