Posting Title: Senior Project Manager – Data Center                               
Reports To: Project Executive
Location: Sparks/Reno, Nevada
Salary Range: $150,000 to $185,000
*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Construction Project Manager at Cupertino Electric, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or several electrical construction projects and the successful management of a high-performing team. You will manage the planning, execution, and financial performance of your projects using business practices that are consistent with our company values – people, safety, integrity, innovation, and excellence. Bringing projects to completion within budget constraints and at or above the customer’s expectations, you’ll build relationships to enhance future business development opportunities. Ideally, you’ll have at least five years of experience managing people and electrical construction projects.  
But even more importantly, you understand that success in our industry requires communication and empathy, both with customers and internally with your team. You have a passion for managing, leading, and developing high-performing teams and employees. You're enthusiastic about mentoring and developing your employees, and you will make a commitment to your team to help them learn and constantly improve.
  • Manage and lead projects and project teams successfully from qualification, through estimate, pre-construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout. Ensure all project and contractual agreements are met and performed safely and professionally within established budgets and timeframes.
  • Establish a project execution plan and provide scheduling coordination for each project. Collaborate with the Superintendent and the field team to ensure projects are completed on schedule. 
  • Identify project risks and potential issues. Develop and execute recovery action plans. 
  • Manage project financials, review and approve invoices, track budget variance, job cost and productivity, and report on financial performance. 
  • Successfully negotiate change orders.
  • Act as a key point of contact with customers and end-user owners. Manage and develop customer and subcontractor relationships. Source and qualify new opportunities. 
  • Develop and manage a high-performance team. Provide mentorship and training to employees to ensure growth and development. 
ABOUT YOU
You possess dynamic leadership and management skills to influence and drive positive outcomes. You have thorough knowledge of the estimating, project cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting methods necessary to profitably complete electrical construction projects. You have experience with union workforces, labor rate calculations, and collective bargaining agreements. In addition to your technical knowledge, you have a history of successfully leading teams and are passionate about developing and growing employees to their full potential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
Licensure/Certifications: None required.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in electrical construction or related activities, including 5 years in a leadership role. Thorough knowledge of the estimating, project cost accounting, scheduling, procurement, productivity tracking, and reporting principles necessary to profitably complete electrical construction projects.
Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
