Ideal Candidate Profile: We are seeking an experienced IT Sourcing Consultant to lead and manage complex IT sourcing and procurement initiatives from initial request through contract execution. The ideal candidate will work independently as a team leader in the development and execution of sourcing strategies while partnering closely with business stakeholders to solve technology-related business challenges.
This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, including solicitation development, supplier evaluation, negotiations, contract execution, and risk mitigation. The consultant will ensure sourcing strategies align with organizational goals and deliver long-term value to customers through effective supplier partnerships and strong contractual agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a variety of sourcing and procurement projects, including complex Information Technology contracts from initiation through contract execution.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with customer objectives, business requirements, and procurement policies.
  • Create solicitation documents such as RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, SOWs, and other procurement-related documentation.
  • Coordinate and facilitate supplier proposal evaluations, scoring, and selection processes.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers related to pricing, terms and conditions, service levels, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, operational, and financial risks throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, legal teams, and executive leadership.
  • Manage customer expectations through effective communication, project updates, and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to support continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement standards, contractual requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives focused on cost optimization, vendor performance, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing IT sourcing, procurement, or strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong experience handling complex IT contracts, vendor negotiations, and supplier management.
  • Experience developing solicitation documents including RFPs, RFQs, and Statements of Work.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of contract risk mitigation and procurement best practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level IT procurement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with public sector or regulated procurement environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, PMP, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Experience with sourcing/procurement systems and contract management tools.
