Job Overview

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Overnight admissions & inpatient care: evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
  • Team collaboration: coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
  • Documentation & compliance: maintain accurate, timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance with proper coding.
Schedule

Night shift coverage, one week on followed by one week off (alternatively one week on and three weeks off, per departmental schedule).

Qualifications
  • MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program.
  • Holding or eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Availability to work night shifts.
