WHAT YOU'LLDO
The Director of Catering & Conference Services oversees the planning and execution of all social and group events, serving as the primary liaison between clients and hotel departments. This role ensures all contractual requirements are met, guides planners through the event process, and delivers seamless experiences that achievehigh levelsof client satisfaction acrossFour Seasons Resort Lana'i, Sensei Lana'i, and all other Four Seasons Lana'i entities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead all aspects of team management, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and succession planning, while fostering a strong service culture and future leadership development
Oversee financial performance through labor management, budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, inventory oversight, and contractor invoice reconciliation to ensure profitability and operational efficiency
Maintain a visible leadership presence, build strongclientand guest relationships, resolve concerns, and maketimelydecisions that balance guest satisfaction with operational and financial goals
Negotiate contracts, menus, and event proposals to maximize revenue and meet client expectations while ensuring fulfillment of all agreements
Develop and uphold departmental standards, oversee event planning and execution, coordinate grouplogisticswith Front Office and Guest Services, and ensureoptimaluse of function space
Finalize event details and documentation (BEOs, resumes, reports), driveupsellingopportunities,maintainaccuratebilling, and ensure consistent communication and follow-up using systems such as Golden Sales & Catering and Outlook
Collaborate with Sales, F&B, and operations teams to coordinate events,optimizespaceutilization, and ensure seamless execution;participatein operational meetings, site visits, and client engagements to support successful program delivery

WHAT TOBRING
Successful candidate mustpossesslegal work authorization in United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship)
The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours adayand scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability isrequired.

Three years or more experience in a leadership position within Conferences Services
