Role Summary

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Original Art Coordinator, Artist Partnerships to drive the execution and growth of the Original Art Program. This role owns the management of artist partnerships and commissioned artwork across multiple programs annually, working with high-value artists and licensor partners to deliver premium creative product.

The Coordinator serves as a primary liaison between Fanatics Collectibles, licensors, and artists, directing creative alignment and managing artist engagement from onboarding through delivery readiness. The role works cross functionally with Product Development, Licensing, Legal, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Support to ensure program success and financial accuracy across all artist engagements.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong artistic judgment alongside organizational and project management capabilities, with the maturity to manage creative partnerships and contract workflows within a structured business environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own original art programs end to end across multiple concurrent programs, with contract scope varying based on artist tier and program scale.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Fanatics Collectibles, licensors, and artists to drive alignment on creative direction, approvals, and delivery expectations.
  • Curate and engage artists whose style and strengths align with brand, licensor, and program needs.
  • Direct creative briefs and ensure artistic execution meets brand and licensor standards across the portfolio.
  • Own artist partnerships and manage their participation across assignments, timelines, and artwork progress.
  • Manage program-level budget tracking and partner with Accounts Payable, Legal, and Vendor Support to ensure timely artist payment readiness.
  • Drive artist onboarding, contracting, and licensor compliance workflows in collaboration with Legal.
  • Represent Fanatics Collectibles at industry events as needed to identify and engage prospective artists.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field such as art coordination, creative project management, artist relations, design, or entertainment / sports licensing environments.
  • Solid understanding of art fundamentals, including color theory, artistic mediums, style development, and composition, with the ability to evaluate artistic fit for brand and program needs.
  • Passionate about collectibles, storytelling, and visual culture across entertainment and sports.
  • Knowledgeable about film, comic books, the entertainment industry, pop culture, and sports.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple artists and timelines in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work cross functionally across creative and business teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with artists and internal stakeholders.
  • Skilled in handling and maintaining sensitive contractual and financial data with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with digital illustration platforms such as Procreate or similar tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) with experience using Airtable, Formstack, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Art, Illustration, Design, or related creative field.
