Job description

Pritchard Industries is seeking an experienced Account Manager based in Rochester, NY. This key leadership position is responsible for managing commercial janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and light construction operations while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and profitable growth.
The Account Manager will oversee multiple customer locations throughout the Rochester market, managing daily operations, scheduling, staffing, training, safety, quality control, budgeting, and customer relationships. This individual will also be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts while supporting new business development efforts. The position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-term operational strategies and annual business plans to support company growth.
  • Manage the daily operations of multiple customer accounts while ensuring contractual obligations are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Lead and supervise teams performing commercial janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and light construction services.
  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, labor utilization, equipment, and material resources.
  • Manage operating budgets, labor costs, supplies, equipment expenses, and overall profitability.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for additional services.
  • Review operational reports, staffing levels, and service performance to proactively resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, mentor, and develop field supervisors and frontline employees.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate market performance and implement continuous improvements.
  • Assist the sales team by expanding existing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience in the facilities services industry.
  • Required management experience overseeing commercial janitorial, landscaping, snow removal, and light construction operations.
  • Proven ability to lead multiple crews while managing scheduling, staffing, budgets, equipment, and customer expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance operations, quality assurance, safety compliance, and workforce management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, building owners, and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience developing existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for business growth.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned market.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing multiple commercial facilities and service contracts.
  • Knowledge of snow and ice management operations, landscape maintenance, and construction project coordination.
  • Experience with budgeting, P&L responsibility, and business development.
