Role Summary

As a Senior Global Supply Manager specializing in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) at Rivian, you will be responsible for sourcing, procurement, and management of MRO goods and services. You will contribute to the efficient and uninterrupted operation of our manufacturing facilities by ensuring the availability of essential supplies, while also implementing strategic sourcing practices to optimize costs and vendor relationships. This position is based onsite in Normal, IL, Plymouth, MI, or Irvine, CA and reports to the Senior Manager of Global Supply Manager, MRO & Spare Parts.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for MRO goods and services, identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely availability of critical supplies.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers, evaluating their performance, negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Oversee inventory levels, implement efficient inventory control processes, and optimize stock levels to balance availability and cost effectively.
  • Continuously analyze pricing, terms, and conditions to identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and service levels.
  • Collaborate closely with quality control teams to ensure that MRO supplies meet required quality and safety standards, promptly addressing any quality issues.
  • Work closely with various departments, including maintenance, engineering, and production, to understand their MRO needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to purchasing and sourcing activities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in purchasing and procurement, with at least 3 years of experience in MRO procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of sourcing strategies, supply chain management, and inventory control.
  • Familiarity with MRO products and services.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $98,500 - $123,100 for Normal, Illinois or Plymouth, Michigan based applicants and $107,800 - $134,800 for Irvine, California based applicants, This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and part-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26, including but not limited to paid vacation, paid sick leave, and a competitive portfolio of insurance benefits including life, medical, dental, vision, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance to eligible employees. Full-time employee coverage is effective on their first day of employment. Part-time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
