Work Environment

Working closely with the Clinical Director and Executive Director, you will cultivate a supportive therapeutic environment aimed at fostering growth and recovery among clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the counseling needs of each client.
  • Utilize the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) to diagnose substance abuse issues and determine the most appropriate level of care using ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
  • Prepare and implement tailored substance abuse counseling plans that align with each clientโ€™s unique circumstances and needs.
  • Develop discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate clients' transition to the necessary levels of care.
  • Document all counseling sessions, assessments, referrals, and follow-up services in the clinical records accurately and promptly.
  • Manage a client caseload effectively, performing case management and utilization reviews as needed, ensuring timely treatment planning and clinical charting.
  • Coordinate support services for clients and their families, ensuring thorough documentation of services rendered.
  • Engage with various referral sources such as legal entities, educational institutions, and employers, ensuring seamless communication and support for clients.
  • Facilitate crisis interventions when necessary, leveraging a multidisciplinary team approach to deliver effective support to assigned clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW at High Point, you will engage primarily with adolescents and young adults facing mental health challenges and substance use issues within a school environment. Qualifications
