The postdoctoral candidate is expected to work on emerging mobility technologies focused on connected automated vehicles and cybersecurity. The research will combine AI/machine learning, cybersecurity and control theory to advance knowledge on automated vehicle control and their resilience to cyberattacks. The postdoctoral researcher will play a leading role in developing research concepts and performing rigorous analytical research under the supervision of PI. The candidate will participate in other ongoing research activities within the areas of connected and automated vehicles and intelligent transportation systems and develop new research ideas on emerging mobility.
Job Duties
  • Manage multiple projects on emerging mobility under the supervision/guidance of the PI
  • Publish/write research articles and write proposals for external funding
  • Advance research at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity and control theory
  • Help mentor graduate and undergraduate students
  • Participate in other ongoing research activities within the areas of connected and automated vehicles and intelligent transportation systems
Requested Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Transportation Systems Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
Other Preferences for Consideration Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Matlab, and/or C#, C++
  • Knowledge of connected and automated vehicles control
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation systems
