Job description

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for assisting in the management of various contracts. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organization's goals by preparing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts for federal projects. This position will collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and government agencies to develop and administer contracts.CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITESPerforms the following, with moderate independence:Assist in the draft, review, negotiate, and manage of various contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, government contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TA).Prepare, negotiate, and review contracts for federal projects, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulationsCollaborate with project managers, legal teams, and government agencies to develop and administer contractsMonitor contract performance and ensure adherence to terms and conditionsManage contract modifications, change orders, and amendments and enters changes into CostpointCoordinate with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) during auditsMaintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and documentationAnalyze potential risks in contracts and recommend mitigation strategiesStay informed about legislative changes affecting federal contractingProvide guidance on contract interpretation and resolve contractual disputesAssist in developing proposals for new government contractsSKILLS & ABILITIESPossess a deep understanding of:FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting regulationsDoD contract management software and Microsoft Office SuiteNegotiation skillsGovernment cost accounting standards (CAS)DCAA audit proceduresDELTEK/Costpoint familiarity preferredPIEE familiarity preferredSAM.gov familiarity preferredEDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONSGED and/or equivalent years of experienceCertificate in Contracts Management RequiredCertified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification PreferredTYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS General office environmentComputer/Equipment lab PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMay be expected to lift up to 25 lbsFrequent use of keyboard and typingFrequent sitting and standingWORK SCHEDULE9/80The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.PAY RANGE$100,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually, DOEU.S. Citizenship is RequiredSECURITY CLEARANCECandidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required.
