Position Overview
Concord Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and experienced High School Science Teacher to join our growing academic team.
This role involves teaching Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics courses, ranging from regular to AP level, while supporting students academic growth and college readiness in a small, student-centered learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach high school science courses including Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics (regular and AP levels)
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
  • Prepare students for AP exams and support strong academic outcomes
  • Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs, including international students
  • Maintain accurate records of grades, assignments, and student progress
  • Collaborate with academic leadership on curriculum development and instructional improvement
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Support a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Science or related field (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar)
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level
  • Experience teaching AP-level courses strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with College Board AP curriculum and exam requirements
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
