Position Summary

Join CVS Health as a Senior Contracts Manager and lead the negotiation, development, and execution of complex IT and NonIT agreements that power our enterprise. In this highimpact role, you'll guide a team of contracting professionals, partner with senior executives, and influence strategic initiatives across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead drafting, negotiation, and finalization of complex vendor contracts while managing risk and maximizing enterprise value.
  • Serve as the escalation point for contract issues, advising senior leaders on legal, commercial, and compliance risks.
  • Partner across Legal, Sourcing, Security, Privacy, Tax, Finance, and other SMEs to ensure alignment with policies and regulations.
  • Support enterprise initiatives including supplier integration, M&A activities, and enterprisewide costsaving projects.
  • Manage and mentor a highperforming team across multiple locations.
  • Maintain and enhance contract templates, processes, and purchasing policies.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights/obligations and support supplier performance, compliance, and improvement efforts.
  • Represent Procurement in business reviews, stakeholder meetings, and educational sessions to reinforce contracting best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years professional experience
  • 5+ years contracts experience, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements
  • 3+ years advising senior leaders on contract risks and strategy
  • Proven ability to manage highvolume, highcomplexity negotiations
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule at a CVS HUB: Tuesday, Wednesday and two Thursdays a month.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ariba (or similar contract management systems)
  • Experience in healthcare or retail procurement
  • JD, MBA, or relevant advanced degree
  • Professional certifications (C.P.M., C.P.P.O., C.F.C.M., C.P.C.M.)
  • Experience leading and developing teams

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required or similar experience required

This is a hybrid role requiring Tuesday and Wednesday in office at any of our hubs and is not available for sponsorship.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
