Job description

Responsibilities
Location: Ashburn, VA
Duration: This is a temporary, part-time position not to exceed 29 hours per week.
Provide administrative support to the contracts department.
The summer intern will support activities related to the review and interpretation of contracts, with a focus on developing Contract Briefs beginning with our prime contracts. The role will also include reviewing legacy hard-copy files against corresponding electronic records to ensure digital files are complete and accurate. Where electronic versions of key documents are missing, the intern will assist in scanning and digitizing materials in support of the Administrative Assistant - Contracts.
Responsibilities
  • Contract Review: Analyze contract terms and conditions and prepare concise briefs to assist Program Managers and stakeholders in contract administration.
  • Contract Creation: Support the creation of new contracts using our templates for nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements (TAs), subcontracts, and consulting agreements.
  • Audit and Filing: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of contract records through meticulous auditing and filing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Completion of at least one semester (or one year) of coursework in contracts or a related field (e.g., business law, commercial contracts, principles of federal acquisition).
  • High school diploma; current students or recent graduates are preferred.
