Region: URMC Contract Duration: March 2, 2026 – May 2, 2026 Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts | 3 days/week Engagement Type: Contract Role Type: Float Pool (Multi-Unit Coverage)
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical Float contract assignment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care across multiple adult inpatient units, supporting staffing needs and ensuring continuity of care.

This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt quickly to different unit workflows and patient populations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in adult Med/Surg units

  • Float across multiple departments as per operational needs

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and care planning

  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

  • Adult Admission Unit

  • Trauma / General Surgery
