As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work closely with senior project managers, engineers, clients, contractors, and field teams to help keep projects on track, organized, and moving forward. This position is designed to provide hands-on exposure to all aspects of project management, with opportunities to gradually take ownership of projects over time.
This role is typically 80% office-based and 20% field-based, with travel to project sites within a 1-3 hour radius of the reporting location.
What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Support Project Managers across multiple active projects from inception to completion
  • Review initial project scopes and assist in developing project work plans with engineering teams and clients
  • Coordinate outage requests and sequencing plans with internal teams and contractors
  • Assist with procurement coordination for major and minor material/equipment needs
  • Coordinate environmental and non-environmental permitting review and submittals
  • Help prepare RFP packages, scopes of work, baseline schedules, and bid documentation
  • Participate in contractor bid evaluations and award recommendations
  • Facilitate or assist with pre-construction and project progress meetings
  • Track project schedules, milestones, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Maintain project documentation and navigate client systems for project tracking and reporting
  • Communicate project updates related to schedule, costs, procurement, safety, and construction progress
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and field teams
  • Spend time in the field to stay engaged with project progress and better understand project scopes
  • Collaborate regularly with schedulers and project teams to maintain detailed project schedules

Requirements
What You'll Bring to the Familia

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination or construction project management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of teams, clients, and stakeholders
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
