Contractor Sales
Type: Full-Time - Some Saturday's Required

Reports To: Sales Manager

We're looking for a Contractor Sales Consultant to deliver exceptional service to contractors, builders, and homeowners while driving sales in lumber and hardware. This role combines product expertise, sales support, and customer relationship building to ensure every customer leaves satisfied-and ready to return.


What You'll Do

  • Assist customers with lumber and hardware sales at the sales counter.
  • Greet customers in person and on the phone with professionalism and urgency.
  • Accurately input customer transactions, including quotes, orders, special orders, and returns into the POS system.
  • Recommend products, alternatives, and add-ons to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
  • Stay informed on building materials, codes, and industry trends to provide knowledgeable solutions.
  • Track purchase orders, open orders, and vendor confirmations for accuracy.
  • Work closely with the Credit Department on customer accounts, credit applications, and returned checks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sales area.
  • Promote teamwork and support company training programs to build product expertise.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach overhead, and perform manual tasks as needed.
