Flexibility is common, but there are usually clear deliverables, deadlines, and expectations for high-quality work. You may interact frequently with project managers, clients, and other developers to clarify requirements and report progress. To thrive as a Contractor Developer, you need strong programming skills, a thorough understanding of software development methodologies, and often relevant experience or a degree in computer science or a related field. Construction Owner's Representative / Project Manager (West Palm Beach, FL)

Are you ready to transition from building projects to building value?

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial real estate capital improvement, redevelopment, projects from property acquisition through repositioning and transition into the investment portfolio.

This is an opportunity to represent ownership, not a general contractor. You will manage consultants, contractors, budgets, schedules, and stakeholders while protecting the owner's investment and maximizing asset value.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manage projects from acquisition due diligence through stabilization and turnover to Property Management.
  • Evaluate existing building conditions and develop capital improvement strategies.
  • Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and third-party consultants.
  • Lead budgeting, estimating, scheduling, bidding, contract negotiations, and construction execution.
  • Review project financials, pay applications, change orders, and schedule performance.
  • Coordinate tenant improvement projects and support leasing initiatives.
  • Conduct Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings and maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the company's investment objectives.
  • Travel approximately 20% nationally to oversee projects and attend key project meetings.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • Experience as a Lead Project Manager experience with a commercial General Contractor, Developer, Owner's Representative, or Real Estate Development firm.
  • Experience managing commercial renovation, redevelopment, retail, mixed-use, office, industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, permitting, and construction management.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with owners/investors, consultants, contractors
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

WHY YOU WANT THIS OPPORTUNITY?

This role offers the opportunity to move beyond managing a single construction project and become a trusted representative of ownership. You'll help guide investment decisions, oversee multiple assets, and play a key role in transforming properties from acquisition through successful repositioning into a high-performing real estate portfolio.

If you enjoy seeing the bigger picture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and protecting an owner's investment while delivering exceptional projects, we'd love to connect with you.
