Job description

Job Overview

  • Supports the Residential Construction & Development Division.
  • Current portfolio consists of 200+ existing single family and multifamily homes.
  • Team is adding approximately 400 additional homes to the portfolio.
  • Many existing homes have post-construction issues requiring renovations and repairs, including relocating tenants during work.
  • This is a highly visible, high-priority initiative with significant executive attention.


Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple residential construction projects simultaneously from planning through completion.
  • Oversee architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Represent the Tribe as the owner's representative throughout each project.
  • Manage procurement, contracts, budgets, purchase orders, billing, schedules, and reporting.
  • Conduct field visits across reservations to monitor project progress and resolve issues.
  • Complete all project reporting and documentation independently (administrative support is limited).
  • Present project updates during community meetings and town halls as needed.
  • Be available for occasional evening community meetings and emergency operational needs.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Strong residential construction background (single family, multifamily, mixed-use acceptable if heavily residential).
  • Comfortable managing large capital construction budgets totaling millions of dollars.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate with executives, engineers, contractors, consultants, and Tribal community members.
  • Comfortable working independently without administrative assistance.
  • Owner's Representative experience is highly preferred.
  • Candidate should not currently own or operate a construction company acting as the principal contractor due to potential conflicts of interest.

Licensing

  • Current Florida General Contractor (GC) License preferred.
  • Must obtain Florida GC License within 18 months if not currently licensed.
  • Candidates with an Engineering license may also be considered depending on qualifications.
