What You'll Do

As a Senior HVAC Service Technician, you'll take the lead on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems while serving as a trusted resource for both customers and fellow technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC issues across commercial and industrial systems
  • Service and maintain chillers, rooftop units (RTUs), package units, split systems, and associated equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize system performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related problems
  • Identify root causes and implement lasting solutions
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers
  • Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and OSHA compliance
  • Support, mentor, and train junior technicians in the field
  • Represent Walker White Mechanical with professionalism and integrity at customer sites

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
  • Strong experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of chillers, RTUs, package units, and refrigeration systems
  • Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • EPA Certification (Required)
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience
  • Experience with building automation and controls systems
  • Manufacturer certifications or specialized HVAC training
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
