Journeyman / Apprentice Painter – Commercial & Residential

We are hiring a Painter to join our growing commercial painting team. Pay ranges from $18–$28/hr depending on experience, with benefits package and paid training available. This is a year-round position with a stable, established company serving Idaho and Oregon since 1999.

We are seeking a motivated Painter to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for both experienced painters and individuals who are eager to learn the commercial painting trade. Experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to grow.

Commercial Painting Contractors has been in business since 1999 and is a leading commercial painting company serving the Treasure Valley and surrounding areas in Idaho & Oregon.

We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship on every project and are looking for team members who want to build a long-term career in the painting industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare surfaces by scraping sanding, patching, caulking, and priming
  • Apply paints, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Protect surrounding surfaces and work areas from paint and overspray
  • Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment
  • Work from ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and customers
  • Follow all safety policies and OSHA regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Painting experience preferred but not required (training available)
  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and project specifications preferred
  • Experience with airless spray equipment and coatings preferred
  • Experience operating scissor lifts and/or boom lifts preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Comfortable working at heights and on active construction sites
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work daily
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must have a cell phone
