Job description

Salary: $17.00/Hour Minimum
Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): Teamsters Contract
Report Times: 6:30pm - 3:00pm
Daily Hours: 8.5 (8 paid)
Work Year: 12 month
Supervisor: Director of Facility Operations
Civil Service Title: Cleaner (Labor)
Minimum Requirements: 
There are no education or experience qualifications for this position.
Desired Qualifications: 
Working knowledge of building cleaning procedures, materials and equipment;
Working knowledge of cleaning agents and proper applications;
Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position;
Ability to complete general cleaning tasks, move boxes and furniture, operate machinery used to maintain floors;
Ability to follow oral and written instructions;
Daily attendance is expected.
Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
Wash, clean, dust, sanitize, mop, vacuum, and perform minor repairs within the school building;
Perform maintenance on quarry, terrazzo and wood flooring;
Strip and finish resilient tile floors;
Extract and shampoo carpets; perform spot removal;
Lawn care and sidewalk snow removal;
Other duties as assigned.
