Overview:

The Paint Prep Wet Tech I is responsible for preparing surfaces for wet painting, following detailed instructions to ensure high-quality results. This role focuses on efficiency and improvements through 2 Second Lean practices.


Key Responsibilities: (include but not limited to): Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare surfaces for wet painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Follow detailed work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Implement 2 Second Lean ideas to improve the preparation process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties may be assigned by leadership.


Requirements:

Qualifications: Minimum Preferred Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:


  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • (1) One+ years of consistent working experience; Related experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of wet painting preparation techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential physical requirements pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

  • Arm-Hand Steadiness- The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • Visual Color Discrimination- The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
  • Near Vision- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
  • Far Vision- The ability to see details at a distance.
  • Trunk Strength- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
  • Extent Flexibility- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Stamina- The ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
