Job description

Odyssey Systems is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to support advanced situational awareness and multi-domain operations (MDO) programs. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and integration of RF and signal processing systems that enable next-generation battlefield awareness, electronic warfare, and spectrum management capabilities.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and operators to design and deliver systems that integrate data from diverse sensors, communications, and radar systems to provide actionable intelligence and operational advantage. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in RF, signal processing, and spectrum management, along with experience contributing to mission-critical DoD programs in multi-domain environments.

This is a full time position located at MacDill AFB, FL or Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and prototyping of electrical systems and components, including radar, radiation detection, analog/digital circuits, radio systems, and other communications equipment.

  • Conduct and oversee lab-based experiments to evaluate the performance of electronic circuits, antennas, signal integrity, and other RF components, ensuring compliance with functional and mission-critical objectives.

  • Develop solutions for complex RF challenges by applying advanced engineering principles and employing creativity to push the boundaries of radar and communication systems.

  • Manage end-to-end processes for projects that span across multiple technical and operational domains, ensuring outputs align with program priorities and key deliverables.

  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to influence technical decisions, system designs, and operational approaches. Communicate perspectives to project leaders, sub-contractors, and stakeholders while acting as the technical authority on RF engineering matters.

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with sub-contractors, vendors, and external teams to ensure precision in manufacturing, assembly, and delivery processes for developed systems.

  • Design and test RF systems in real-world simulation environments (hardware/software integration testing) to ensure field adaptability and system robustness.
