Position Overview:ย 
The Senior Validation Engineer will ensure long-term business profitability by delivering effective and efficient validation of new and redesigned products, with a strong focus on field units. This role is critical in providing high-quality products to customers by confirming that all products meet design specifications and business expectations prior to serial release.

This position will be based at our Houston, TX office. ย 
ย 
Responsibilities:ย 
Processย 
ย  ย Supports and updates the Domain & Development Processes (Design Practices, Guidelines & Standards), Verification and Validation (DVP&R) for the field validation domain across the systems and products
ย  ย Assures the domain technology and development practices are state-of-the art, compliant with relevant international standards and adequately benchmarked against competitors systems
ย  ย Maintains the field validation process to be accurate and reflective of business needs, ensure role out, adherence and engagement business wide
ย  ย Prepare written validation reports, coordinate input and present validation results and validation progress within reviews
Tools and Methods
ย  ย Effective methodology for tracking and reporting of field validation status and driving stakeholder engagement
ย  ย Proactive collation (internal and external) of simplification and improvement methods relating to field validation and implementation across the FV Domain
ย  ย Lead and execute multiple validation plans utilizing the system hierarchy, requirements engineering, system owner input and DFMEA
Planningย 
ย  ย Determine time schedules, resources and the associated costs
ย  ย Close collaboration with the Engine Development team to define a realistic, executable and value added validation plan
ย  ย Ensure configuration to validate is per specification and according to field validation plan
ย  ย Defining focused, accurate and customer centric documentation while supporting input to field validation contractsย 
ย  ย Planning, tracking and monitoring of ongoing field validations via remote monitoring and at customer sites world wide
ย  ย Planning and execution of dedicated engine investigations in the field at customer sitesย 
ย  ย Lead and execute multiple validation plans (including onsite work in person) utilizing the system hierarchy, requirements engineering, system owner input and DFMEA
Reports
ย  ย Regular status updates on all platforms, delivered via a real-time automated dashboard, continuous maintenance of planning tool accuracy, and generation of end-of-trip/validation reports
ย  ย Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity
ย 
Requirements:
ย  ย Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
ย  ย Minimum five (5) years of experience in engine/component testing and validation techniques
ย  ย Proven experience and knowledge in an industrial environment with reciprocating engine technology and associated systems
ย  ย Experience with software integration, validation processes, engine calibration, and parameter management
ย  ย Ability to travel up to 60% as business demandsย 
ย  ย Valid driver's license and passportย 
ย  ย Legally authorized to work in the United States
ย 
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
ย  ย Project planning and execution, including cost estimation and resource allocation
ย  ย Ability to lead and execute multiple validation plans using system hierarchy, requirements engineering, and DFMEA
ย  ย Proficiency in tracking and reporting validation status using automated dashboards and planning tools
ย  ย Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities
ย  ย Ability to interpret technical data and provide actionable recommendations.
ย  ย Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to senior management and customers
ย  ย Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
