Role and Responsibilities:

The Department of Finance, Division of Treasury, requires contract staff to perform professional accounting/auditing work.


  • The Contractor(s) must understand generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting, including having a thorough knowledge and understanding of GASB and/or FASB standards and statements. Additionally, the Contractor must be proficient in using Oracle ERP accounting systems, Excel, and other current technology. Knowledge of MUNIS, Crystal Reports, and BI tools is strongly preferred.
  • Duties may include but are not limited to: preparing analyses of reports and making recommendations regarding the analyses; performing analysis of assigned funds/sub-funds; performing complex reconciliations of various Oracle General ledger accounts; and preparing supporting work papers for adjusting journal entries.
  • Contract staff will work side-by-side with County staff to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Contract staff will report directly to the Treasury Accounting Supervisor in the Department of Finance, Division of Treasury.
