Locum Tenens Physician - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Are you a compassionate and dedicated healthcare professional seeking a meaningful opportunity to serve our nation's veterans? a Maximus company, is currently looking for Physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. This opportunity is based in South Dakota, with specific interest in location near Keystone. Job Details: Profession: Physician Specialty: Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Unit: South Dakota - Traumatic Brain Injury/General Medicine Default Rate Type: Daily Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing # of Providers Needed: 1 Shift Type: Days Shift Description: PRN - as needed basis. Shifts TBD. Half day is 4 hours or less. Full day is 4-8 hours. Weekend Requirements: Able to work weekends, if desired/needed On Call Requirements: N/A MANDATED Job Requirements: Note which location provider is interested in - Required (Must reside or have an office within mileage requirements listed above) Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions - Required Must be willing to perform Gen Med & TBI - note at the time of name clear that you have verified this with your candidate Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) - Required Must be willing to wear a mask during all visits - Required Is the provider active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA? - Required Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency - Required Active and unrestricted full license - Required, provide license # at the time of name clear Note if the provider is DMA Certified on submissions, and if yes, when did they get certified Note where providers are traveling from - CV needs current home address listed Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if they attended school in a different country. Certification Requirements: Board Certified License Requirements: Active and unrestricted full license - Required, provide license # at the time of name clear Details: Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury. No prescribing, no treatment DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified Use of Goniometer required Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Must own a personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs) Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s). Evaluations to be completed in provider portal, and records are reviewed. Located near Keystone, SD.
