Job description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading organization to hire a Contract Training Specialist to support a large-scale training initiative. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced trainer or classroom facilitator to lead engaging, hands-on training sessions, support assistant trainers and help ensure participants are prepared to successfully perform their responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead classroom and hands-on training sessions for groups of adult learners
  • Deliver detailed procedures and instructions in a clear, engaging and easy-to-understand manner
  • Support and supervise assistant trainers throughout training sessions
  • Collaborate with management to develop training guidelines, instructions and best practices
  • Coordinate with management and other trainers to ensure sessions are properly staffed and equipped
  • Prepare training materials, equipment and classroom spaces prior to each session
  • Check participants into training sessions and ensure they receive the appropriate instructional materials
  • Troubleshoot issues during training sessions and escalate concerns when appropriate
  • Document equipment issues and complete reports related to training sessions and participant performance
  • Communicate with management regarding participant eligibility, conduct or performance as needed

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience leading or facilitating classroom training for adults
  • Strong leadership and classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to create a positive, engaging and professional training environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle questions or classroom conflicts calmly and effectively
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable learning and delivering detailed procedures and technical information
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a larger training team
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work 10-12 hour days, including evenings and weekends as needed

  • Compensation: $30/hour
  • Location: Chicago, IL, 100% onsite
  • Employment Type: Temporary (3 months)
