The ideal candidate will bring strong financial and technical expertise, experience working with health plan contracts, and the ability to translate complex contract language into actionable reimbursement models within Epic.

This is a collaborative, high-visibility role that partners with leadership, payors, finance, and operational stakeholders to ensure contract performance, revenue integrity, and negotiation strategy alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze managed care contracts and communicate operational and financial impacts to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models and projections for proposed and existing physician and hospital contracts.
  • Monitor contract performance and audit financial outcomes to ensure payment compliance.
  • Identify underpayments and negotiate with payors to recover revenue when appropriate.
  • Review and negotiate contract language in collaboration with leadership.
  • Develop and maintain data sets required for contract modeling and analysis.
  • Maintain departmental processes to track and manage contracts effectively.
  • Resolve contractual disputes by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build, test, and maintain contract projection models within Epic.
  • Perform Epic testing and collaborate with application teams to move builds into production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve rate and revenue code programming issues to maximize reimbursement.
  • Support ongoing analysis to ensure managed care contract performance meets financial expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in managed care, health plan contracting, or provider reimbursement.
  • Experience analyzing physician and hospital reimbursement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and contract analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Epic certification in assigned modules.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and Access.
  • Experience working in a health system, clinic, surgery center, or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex data and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contract negotiations and contract language interpretation.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse applications.
  • Prior Epic certification.
  • Advanced Power BI experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strategic thinker who understands both contract language and reimbursement mechanics.
  • Someone comfortable auditing payor performance and identifying revenue recovery opportunities.
  • A professional who can bridge finance, operations, and IT.
  • A self-starter who thrives under tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
