Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Specialist to support a fast-paced contracting department within a healthcare-focused organization. This role will assist with contract administration, provider communications, agreement tracking, and operational support functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with experience handling contracts, compliance documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Support contract administration activities, including contract creation, tracking, distribution, and collection of required documents
- Review and maintain provider and contract records within contract management systems and shared databases
- Evaluate out-of-network requests and assist with provider redirection processes
- Negotiate single-patient agreements and respond to provider inquiries
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely contract processing and issue resolution
- Update and maintain departmental procedures and documentation
- Monitor contract status, reimbursement inquiries, network rosters, and credentialing requests
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications- Associate degree plus 2+ years of experience in managed care, healthcare operations, contract administration, or related field
OR equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications- Experience negotiating single-patient agreements or provider contracts
- Healthcare or managed care experience
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Contract management system/database experience
