Job description

Position Title: Document Specialist/Technical Writer (Contract Writer)​
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Engagement Type: Contract​
Work Mode: Onsite
Duration: Through June 30, 2026​
Interview Type: In-person; TEAMS may be allowed for out-of-state candidates

Role Overview:
The role is responsible for drafting and reviewing procurement-related documentation, creating contract artifacts (scope, performance requirements, and terms), and developing clear, consistent language that meets departmental protocols and needs. The position supports coordination with business units and stakeholders, maintains an internal documentation library, and may oversee special projects while ensuring high standards of writing and editing.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review procurement documentation including purchase orders, service agreements, vendor contracts, modifications, and amendments.​

  • Create contract documentation such as scope of services, performance requirements, and terms and conditions.​

  • Develop clear, consistent contractual language aligned to delivery, service, quality, and pricing expectations.​

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across business units and maintain internal documentation libraries.​

  • Provide specialized documentation services and support special projects as assigned.​

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.​

  • Minimum 5 years of business or technical writing with working knowledge of procurement processes and documentation.​

  • Excellent writing, editing, organization, and project management skills; strong attention to detail and problem-solving.​

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and/or local procurement laws and regulations.​
